Winter/Spring (January-May)


  • Adult Fitness Instructors (other than Zumba)
  • American Red Cross certified Lifeguards and Water Safety Instructors
  • Preschool Program Instructor
  • Yoga Instructor (daytime classes for Seniors)
  • Youth Kidnastics / Tumbling Instructors
  • Youth Sports Coaches (Basketball, Flag Football, Volleyball and Soccer)

Summer (June-August)


  • American Red Cross certified Lifeguards and Water Safety Instructors
  • Summer Playground Leaders
  • Youth Sports coaches (summer sports) – T-Ball, Instructional Baseball and Softball

Teens For Kids Program


Registration in the program is easy:
  1. Complete a job application and mail/drop-off at the Department of Parks and Recreation.
  2. Include desired position (very important) and “Teens For Kids."
  3. Possess these qualifications: Mature, Responsible and Enthusiastic.
An effort is made to employ as many program applicants as possible. Employment will be contingent upon availability and completion of required training and certifications (there are fees associated with certifications). The "Teens for Kids" program has been created in an effort to help foster greater “home grown” interest in working with community recreation programs.
